After checking Gamepolitics.com, like I do multiple times a day, I came across this link from a shoutbox post, talking about a sandy hook recreation game and the nonsense the public figures in Conneticu(n)t are saying about it. The article linked is viewable here. Some of this crap is really not needed now and I am here to trash it like it deserves to be.
"The perpetrator of the worst grade-school shooting in U.S. history is
getting posthumous, and, many say, unwarranted recognition from the very
source of his blood lust -- a video game."
So now a violent game caused sandy hook? What the hell does this writer think he is, a nonbiased source? It seems very likely that this guy is an anti-gamer and wants to make games look bad. So he posts a piece where he says that it is not an opinion, but a fact that Sandy hook was caused by video game violence, that's right, Caused, not contributed. To him there are no factors. It's all Mass Effects fault, with all of it's nonexistent child rape scenes FAUX news tried to claim it had. Sure....
But it gets worse. folks...
"The only positive that can possibly come from this is if the repulsive
reactions that it causes serve as common ground for extreme gun-rights
people to instead of pointing out how something so vile is protected
under the Constitution, or looking the other way, they join the masses
in condemning it," said Dave Ackert, a spokesman for the Newtown Action Alliance,
a local grassroots organization supportive of gun control reform. "Same
goes for the NRA leadership, all of their A-rated lawmakers, executives
and board members at gun manufacturers, gaming and other
entertainment companies."
So now the video game companies need to be sued, for making games that shooters did not play, such as the few thousands of games Lanza probably never touched. Are we really this moronic as a nation now? And notice how he said "other" entertainment companies should be sued. Who is this moron? It seems after "gamer triggered" tragedies like this, morons from the town in question become gamer haters and this is proof of this at it's worst. Do we really need a massive lawsuit targeting other forms of entertainment now. Mark my words.... if This is what this guy is proposing, we don't need shit like this now, like class action lawsuits against the Mass Effect and COD manufacturers..... It's a stupid idea. It's painfully obvious Adam lanza had SERIOUS mental illness issues. Why single out "violent" entertainment? Why? Because these people singling it out are fucking morons. Put them in jail. This 20 year long moral panic into violent games has gone on TOO long. Don't let fucktards like this bring it back into people's minds again, again, and again, and again, and again, and again. They want violent games banned, and they know if they keep prodding the issue in the ass they will eventually get it passed. We can't let this crap happen.... First crap in MA, and then More BS from Conneticu(n)t. It makes me sick.

SO.... FAUX NEWS want to track how much video games we buy and play?? WTF!!!!
In the wake of the newest mass shooting on a (surprise surprise!!!) Navy base, everyone is talking about their made up link between the shooter and "uber violent video games" and how his friend says he was an "obsessed gamer" (more on that later). This has caused FAUX news to attack violent games Again! A conservative moron named Elizabeth Hasselback is spewing nonsense about how there is a link between the 20-34 demographic and "video game violence" and how "we" (USA) needs to track video game purchases and, because this is NOT a gun control issue, It's a "violent gamer control issue"! Like every single one of us is a violent psychopath in the making, not the mere 0.0% percent of gamers that are violent psychopaths, statistically (more on that later).
But you talk about this guy’s background, as we look into it," Kilmeade continued. "He’s got a friend, who said, 'Yeah, he had an obsession with video games, shooting video games. In fact, he would come over and he would be playing so long — these video games, these shooting games — we’d have to give him dinner, we’d have to feed him while he continued to stay on them.'"
"Are more people susceptible to playing video games?" Hasselbeck continued. "Is there a link between a certain age group or [demographic] in 20- to 34-year-old men, perhaps, that are playing these video games and their violent actions?"
OUR VIOLENT ACTIONS?! WTF! Last time I checked, only 0.0% of gamers are even violent! Out of 311,000,000 gamers worldwide in 2011, only 2 killed people! Only 9 out of however billions who played since 1997 have killed people. It would take1.6 MILLION shootings per year for 10% of gamers to be violent!!! Meanwhile a gigantic 41% of smokers get lung cancer. Hardly a strong link..
"What about frequency testing?" she added. "How often has this game been played? I’m not one to get in there and say, monitor everything, but if this, indeed, is a strong link, right, to mass killings then why aren’t we looking at frequency of purchases per person? And also, how often they’re playing and maybe they time out after a certain hour."
So she wants people to be MONITORED for playing violent games. Not just any people. 20-23 year old men, like non-20-24 year old women aren't capable of mass killing either.. Sexist asshole! You might say that monitoring people who play games is impossible, but with Malicious software anything is possible. If indeed someone in the senate supports such a plan to monitor 20-34 MALE gamers with spyware, it's not good for us. What's really scary is this quote Hasselback said. "And maybe they time out after awhile". What is timing out? It is left to interpretation. The gamer or the game. If it is the game, does this mean she is trying to get people to remotely hack PC's/consoles to shut them down after a while? If so, that's the most disgusting thing I have heard. Just because YOU THINK THERE IS A NONEXISTANT LINK DOES'NT MEAN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL ME WHEN I GAME AND HOW LONG I CAN GAME FOR!!!'
Rant mod aside, I find it disgusting that Fox news is acting like gamer haters again after several untrusted Media outlets have said the latest shooter was an obsessed gamer. At least once the media has lied about a claim like this. During the V-TECH shooting aftermath, one newspaper printed a quote from an anti-gaming mogul that was more than likely fake claiming Cho played Half-life. I just don't trust media outlets to NOT LIE about BS like this to use it against the industry. If the latest shooter was a gamer, don't print some fucking BS statement from "one of his friends" when "his friend" is just made up. IF there is a REAL LINK to violent games, PROVIDE PROOF! Don't just make up BS!!! It's disgusting, and so is this idiocy from Fox News, even more disgusting if they suggest violent games should "time off" after a while....

Take Action! Tell your senator NOT to support S. 134!!!
After browsing GamePolitics.com today, I came across this Entertainment Consumers Association Alert regarding the new Video Game Research bill championed by Senator Rockefeller, another blind attempt to research the nonexistent connection between violent games and "harm to children" or "violence in children".... This Bill is a direct threat to our freedoms. I urge anyone who is a gamer to send your Senator a message through the "action alert" link at the bottom of the article to talk to your senator to tell them NOT to support this bill. You can find the Article Here
However, the message ECA is sending does not give the Senators the complete picture. Noticeably missing are the fact that the "link" between Call of Duty and Sandy Hook is a media fabrication, and that groups like the Brown VS EMA Hijackers are probably going to try to sway the CDC or whoever is doing this research into believing utter hoaxes to prove their claims. IF this research is as biased and fraudulent as previous research (a topic I will do a youtube video on soon), then this research is in Danger of being completely fabricated. I urge gamers to use the below message instead. It goes into this problem and the fact the Call of Duty thing is a bogus media fraud.
"Senator Rockefeller has introduced S. 134, the “Violent Content Research Act of 2013.” It calls for a study by the National Academy of Sciences into the connection between video games and violence. We know the answer to that question, because studies have already concluded, including federally funded studies, there is no connection.
• While video game sales have increased globally, violent crime has decreased according to the FBI’s own statistics,
• Countries whose video game spending per capita is more than the United States do not see the level of violence - especially gun violence - that we do.
Those two facts alone show there’s no connection between the two.
Here are more reasons this legislation will achieve little:
• Researchers on both sides of the subject agree that you can’t study violence, only aggression. So there is no way to really come up with answers to the questions posed.
• The charge already has the taint of bias, as the Senator has said he personally believes that there is a connection. Now, no study connected to his worldview will be free of this.
• The CDC has had questionable practices in the past when it comes to studies and their conclusions. They have ignored their own data in past studies and have done so regarding past video game studies.
* No Matter how Questionable the practices of the CDC are there are always groups trying to sway studies and laws relating to Violence in video games. In 2006, during EMA vs Brown, a group from the Midwest (The Eagle Forum) sent in an Amicus Brief that cites known hoaxes such as "Doom Will Become Reality", a phrase supposedly said on Eric Harris's AOL Site, as proof Harris was influenced by Doom only. Only problem is that the site was a fake site according to the FBI. I have severe concerns that a study like this will be hijacked by such groups presenting hoaxes as evidence to sway the CDC. It will tip the Balance forwards the CDC, Severely Biasing the Study.
• No matter the outcome, at least one side will not agree with the conclusions drawn by the study.
• HHS, the FTC and the FCC have been included in this legislation; they have no role in this study and will likely see this as a way to expand their authority, politicizing the issue even more.
• The recent shootings that have occurred have not been by children. More recent such incidents have been gentlemen in their 60s or older.
• An investigation showed there is little evidence recent shooters played video games, and that the claim that they were was a fabrication by the media, especially the sandy hook reports linking Adam Lanza
to the Game "Call of Duty". All of these reports are based on a Tabloid article that did NOT prove that Adam lanza Played Csll of duty, just said his families plumber thought he might have. The Media all cited this non-proof as proof that he did play call of duty, all at once, making up many ideas, that he lived in a basement, that he trained on the game, etc. The Media is known for making up such claims and many fraudulent statements from them about violence in video games go unchecked... The "Doom Will become Reality" hoax listed above was used by the media to demean Doom and similar Games after Columbine.
• This legislation squarely focuses on video games, not including other media children are exposed to.
• There are numerous positive outcomes created by video game play, all of which are ignored by Congress.
• This legislation was proposed without talking to leading experts in the field.
• The legislation ignores past studies, which show that there is no causation between video games and violence, as well as reports by the FBI and the Secret Service that conclude the same thing.
• Congress is ignoring the studies have already been done. Why are we to believe that any conclusion other than what Senator Rockefeller wants will end this subject once and for all?
This study is a waste of taxpayer dollars and will not solve the issue of mass shootings in our country. It is a distraction from finding out the real causes and solutions.
